Jose Luis Castillo?

It looks like he's having big time weight problems again.............he needs to lose 7.5 lbs in 24 hours to make weight. I know it seems extreme, but this continues to happen with this guy............should/could a boxing commission step in institute severe penalties..........maybe even a suspension for not making weight consistently?? The penalties that they have in place now don't seem to be a deterrent for this guy and it's not really fair to his opponents who are busting their butts to make weight this whole time.........what do you guys think??

  1. I think, he already have been fined before.

anyways, he should move on to heavier weights, where he can be able to do the weight.

  2. Yes, he can possibly be suspended by not loosing the necessary weight in time, but suspension barely happens to a boxer (not unless the boxer is a cheater), but mostly the fights are canceled.

  3. Who is signing him to fight at 140 lbs?  Man they must be stuck on stupid!  How many times must he fail to make the weight before they learn?  I am not in the least bit surprised.  Shame on you whoever set that fight up at that weight.

  4. Well, he didn't make the weight and the fight is off.  He should not even be fighting at 140 because his body can't make it anymore.  I personally believe that he shouldn't be fighting period, but he needs the money and this is what he does for a living.  He should be suspended and fined because as you said, its not fair to his opponents who work their asses off in traning and when they get to the weigh-in, one day before the fight, they realize the fights off because he couldn't make weight.  Its not fair to the fighters, promoters, and most importantly the fans.
