I am 14, almost 15. I know it sounds crazy, but I'd really really really love if I could get into Julliard. I can Dance, sing, i'm learning the guitar, and will soon start violin. I have the dedication it takes, I will work my as$ off. I can do all these things, but I'm not great, I've been dancing off and on since i was about 4. I used to take piano and guitar but i had to quiet for personal reasons. anyway, i was wondering if it was even possible for me to get into this school, or even a school similar to it. please be honest with me, don't give me false hope. But if there is hope, any at all will you please tell me? Thank you.

  1. its possible yeah but you really do need to work you butt off and it takes money too

dont expect too much of a social life

    good luck

  2. Learn to SPELL the name of school to which you wish to apply. JUILLIARD.  And - they do not want somebody who can do a little bit of several things.  BY NOW ALREADY you should have had many years of INTENSE training with fine teacher in ONE specific performance area. Applicants there have already won prestigious spots on honors groups at the state and national levels in music.  Many already have professional representation because they have recording and serious performing experience.  it sounds like Juilliard is NOT the place for you - but there are many other colleges that might be.  You need intense and ongoing private lessons - you are ALREADY behind other applicants - and perhaps you will find a school that will accept you.  Make sure all your academic grades are great - they REALLY count. Good luck.

  3. It's very possible, you just have to be consistent. If you take up dancing again, keep at it, and don't take any breaks. Even the slightest lagging now could leave you second to someone else who wants to audition.
