I would like to go to Jura France in December, however I dont know which airport I should fly into. Would it be easier to fly into an airport in switzerland, I would like the airport to be an hour away from Jura(if possible). I dont want to fly into Paris.

  1. I agree, geneva airport is the nearest from Jura...and if the weather is nice you ll have a nice drive...dont go to dole airport you might have to change airport once in Paris

  2. Cabal's right, if you are going to the southern Jura, fly to Geneva.

If you are going to the northern Jura then the Basel-Mulhouse international airport is another option but it's almost 2 hours to Dole (Geneva-Dole = 2hrs30). It's convenient only if you are flying from Europe, from North America you'll have a layover somewhere else in Europe, depending on the company you are flying.

It's a 2-hour drive from the southernmost to the northernmost parts of Jura.

  3. Geneve, Switzerland, has the advantage of being an international airport and an hour drive from the south part of Jura. It all depends where you are going. You also have Dole in the north of Jura which has an airport big enough for commercial flights but you would probably have to change at Paris.
