The Borussia Dortmund manager has advised his side not to under estimate their opponents in the weekend fixture.
Borussia Dortmund manager, Jurgen Klopp, has urged his side not to relax after stretching their lead atop the league standings in mid-week. He was talking ahead of his side’s visit to the Veltins-Arena where they will take on Die
Knappen on Saturday, April 14.
The Borussians are currently leading the league standings with 69 points and two wins out of their remaining four fixtures will ensure them the Bundesliga crown this season. However, Klopp warned his side against any complacency
in the remaining games as Dortmund cannot afford to slip at this stage of the competition.
Klopp mused that it will be an extremely difficult game away from home as Schalke will themselves be looking to ensure their UEFA Champions League berth. While talking to supersport.com, the former Mainz boss further added:
"In terms of the table, we are in the lead, but on Saturday we expect another intense game. They want to make sure of their Champions League place for next season and they will certainly want to spit in our soup."
On the other hand, Klopp commented that the Borussians have not yet won the Bundesliga and should focus on one game at a time. He hailed the way his side performed in the mid-week fixture against the Bavarian giants but suggested
that the Borussians must focus on the upcoming assignments.
"We are just thinking about the next game, we have had three days to enjoy the victory (over Bayern), but after that we have another tough match ahead of us. We aren't there yet and, unfortunately, a lot can still happen," Klopp
concluded.
The Signal Iduna Park outfit is currently atop the league standings and six points clear of Bayern Munich. They need just six more points to retain their crown and after Schalke have Borussia Monchengladbach, Kaiserslautern and
Freiburg to face.
Dortmund will also meet the Munich giants for the one last time this season in the final of the German Cup on May 12 in http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Berlin-c7536.
