had a baby in June 2008. I already got my economic stimulus (for a childless couple.) Will I get an extra 300.00 now that I have had a baby?

No. The stimulus rebate was based on your financial status as of the 2007 tax year.

No because the stimulus payment was based on your 2007 tax return. You will however get an additional dependency exemption on your 2008 return.

You will do a worksheet on the 2008 tax return.  The baby will count then.  Since that's $300 more than you were eligible for before, you will get the extra $300.

I'd say NO, because you hadnt had to pay out any taxes towards the child, so they would have no need to refund any money to you.

No, other answers explain why.  However, if you haven't applied for a SS# for your baby yet, please do so--now.  Every year I have a few clients lacking that information and I can not do a return without valid SS#'s.

No, the extra $300 was just for kids who were born in 2007 or earlier, and weren't 17 yet at the end of 2007
