K800i no backlight or keypad

Question

k800i no backlight or keypad light. it is not a firmware fault a i took it to a specialist and they tried flashing it but no luck, they told m it needs a new screen but if that is the case why doesnt the keypad light up? please reply a.s.a.p everything else works.
