statistically, sehwag is better because he has 2  300's but KP is more consistent. they are both great players anyway

Sehwag has been erratic though brilliant. Sehwag did not give consistently high performances. Pietersen is a great batsman and has given sustained high quality performances. Pietersen dominates bowling from the word 'go'. Sehwag's undoing has been the tennis shot he plays often and gets caught in the deep. If he can control just one shot, Sehwag can be as deadly as Pietersen, if not more.

In test matches, Pietersen's batting gets him 60 marks (21st all time best). Sehwag gets 56.1 marks (51st all time best).

In ODI matches, Pietersen is at 81 marks level (18th all time best) and Sehwag at 67.2 (75th all time best).

Pietersen is a better batsman than Sehwag. IMO that is.
