If you have the money to blow, go ahead. But yes it's a scam. Same as the lotteries I win at least twice a day :( Too bad I really could use the money.

It's a scam all right!

But please don't be too hard on Nigeria. I get scams from other counties as well, but most do come from Nigeria. And please remember, Nigeria has a population many times that of other countries, so you would expect a larger number from there.

I'm afraid that Nigeria has got a bad name over the last few years, but the statistics show there is a lot less corruption  there now, and some African countries are much worse.

The name doesn't matter - this is a scam.  Sending money to a stranger overseas (especially in Nigeria) is foolish.

scam.  nigeria is famous for these types of scams.  they rake in a lot of money from the ignorant and greedy.

i got one yesterday, almost impressive.  claimed to be from some "British Commission on ....".  they had a nice letterhead.  of course the grammar and spelling was that of a sixth grader, and the address was some freeby email service in india.

I got similar offers FROM THE DESK OF Mr. XYZ OF THE CENTRAL BANK OF NIGERIA every day. Just do what I do; delete it immediately without opening the scam e-mail.

This is SCAM.

Don't just ignore the scam, kindly make an attempt to get the "scammer" punished.

The Nigerian authorities have a virile organ that effectively check mates local and international fraudsters soiling the Nation's image.

Please kindly forward such scam mails and subsequent ones suspected to be originating from Nigeria to [e-mail]
