Ken Griffey Good Or Bad?

Do you think that trade was bad or good? Please explain why and your opinion about Griffey! Best answer is the person with the most information and the best answer will be choosen by voters.

its an ok trade for the Sox. Griffey is old and washed up. I mean he'll hit a little bit but they can't expect that much outta him considering his age and his knee

It is a great trade for Griffey and the White Sox because Griffey gets traded to a Contender and The white sox get another home run hitter to spark there offence

It was a great move for the White Sox. Griffey adds another bat, and with Konerko in a big slump, it is needed.

Bad because he plays center field, Nick Swisher is going to play first base and then Paul Konerko is going to sit on the Bench whicj is not good

it was a good pick up for the white sox but dont expect him to be lights out i will give this pickup a 7-8

All the Sox gave up was a pitcher who was the 25th man, and a washed up prospect second baseman who couldn't make the team in spring training then went on the DL.

As for Griffey:

He'll sell tix

He'll platoon where needed

He knows he does not have to carry this team and relax and be "the kid" again.

Looking at him during interviews he seems reinvigorated, and ready to contribute and have fun playing again.

Hope he stays healthy. Imagine his stats without all those trips to the DL. He'd have passed Hammering Hank without the juice!

It was a very good trade. He's a legend and still has a ton of talent.

Good trade.  The change of scenery and inclusion into a lineup with a number of home run hitters (Sox top the AL in HR's and have 3 of the top 12 HR hitters in the league) takes a lot of pressure off of Griffey to produce as much as he had to in Cincinnati.  With the "excess" of quality hitters, Ozzie can now platoon players and give guys a day off without a drop-off in production.  The versatility of Swisher allows him to sit Konerko, who's struggling big time (63 points below his career average).  Once Crede comes back, you're looking at a lineup that is going to be feared pretty much top-to-bottom.

it was a good trade because the white sox got a power bat that they needed. griffey can be dh or center field, left field or even right field. also the reds got what they wanted a couple young propescts and they are rebildining there whole team so that is another step forwoed.i do think that the white sox got the better of the trade.
