frost free fridge has water on the bottom on the inside whats wrong?

  1. You have to remove the freezer bottom to get to the drain.  There is a trough in the rear with a drain hole.  The ice has to be thawed in the trough and hot water poured in the trough to melt the ice or clear the obstruction.  It will not clear itself by defrosting because the defrost cycle just melts the ice on the coils.


  2. The defrost drain cup or line is probably clogged. It is in the top of the fridge section at the back on older ones.You should see a hole where water from freezer goes into it.

  3. I agree.  The drain line often get plugged up with ice - like something got spilled in the freezer.  You can usually unclog it by manually defrosting the freezer - do a thorough job and the auto defrost cycle should take care of it from there.
