Kenmore hand wheel won't come off.

Question

I tried to adjust the s***w on the hand wheel k**b. Now the s***w has come off and I can't find it. That's not the worst of it. I can see a frayed place on the belt and I can't get the hand wheel off to get to it. When I was adjusting the s***w the inner k**b fell off. I put it back on but probably wrong as it had some kind of slip on guide on the back it seemed in place but now I don't know. It was just having the hand wheel jam-up and not allow the needle post to go up so it wouldn't sew and down now it's worse. Can you help me figure out how to get the hand wheel off so I can try to replace the belt. Then hopefully the crazy thing will sew again.
