Kevin Sheedy for AFL President?

Kevin Sheedy should throw his hat into the ring and shake the AFL up - HE is a VISIONARY and the best person to put football back on track - forget this c**p hands in the back rule - stupid holding the ball ruling - since when do we penalize someone for making the play??? The tough guys, the play makers, the superstars are being penalized for making football the great game we have. Why is it when someone is trying to make the game flow gets penalized when a nobody jumps on him and puts his arm up and gets rewarded for being second to the ball? KEVIN SHEEDY -WE NEED YOU -WHO ELSE THINKS LIKE ME?

  1. They could do a lot worse.

  2. You make excellent points, but I think Sheedy is too arrogant to be President. I reckon Leigh Matthews would be a better option.

  3. Fantastic idea. Sheedy cares about the game, all parts of it. He suggested marketing the game to Africa, Asia, the USA (what a concept, Andrew, you bumbling wanker).

Sheedy as president would make the league money, money. That is what everybody wants. Sheedy has thoughts about the game, if Andrew Demetriou had a thought about making the AFL and footy in general better, it would die of loneliness.

  4. Here, Here. THANKGOD there's someone who has my same opion. The game is too soft, Sheeds is the man for the job. Bring back the real game, bring on Sheedy.

I am fed up with this touchy stuff, the umps are too whistle blowing happy, The AFL are to worried about what the mum's are thinking, well "What about the fans, don't we get a say?"

  5. Kevin Sheedy as AFL president??

You surely have to be joking! He is nothing but a buffoon now - every time he sees a TV camera he knocks anyone in front of him over in running to get his dial splashed across the nation.

He has hung around too long & is a legend - in his own lunchbox only.

Essendon wre right in giving him the flick. Can you imagine what it would be like with his as president???!!! The Victorian clubs would benefit & teams from WA, SA, NSW & Qld would all be neglected.

I wish he'd just disappear quietly - he's way, way past his use-by date.

  6. Yeah that sounds like a great idea. He is a great footy guy. He's not like those stupid guys they've got now making those stupid rules. He knows what it is like to be a coach and sees the problems these rules have made. He'll get rid of the new rules.

  7. Give me a break,Sheedy the same bloke that wants Afro Americans and sth Africans to take up positions on our player lists, someone who wants to play games overseas and would be happy with a night grand final, some one who has helped shape the game into the state it is right now,Sheedy was a great coach for Essendon but like all coaches he thinks way to far out side the box to be put in charge of this great game, with Sheedy at the helm AFL would resemble something space age,i have full respect for Kevin Sheedy as a coach but i don't think he would be a successful as the head chief.
