Key for a bicycyle U-Lock?

I lost my key for my U-Lock. Is it possible to bring the lock to a blacksmith or whatever and they can make a key for it? The lock if I recall was liek $60 so I would hate to have to just go and get a new one...

I doubt they'll simply hand you a key, without proper identification of ownership (Yes, I know, I hate it too), the most they can do is break the lock, but I doubt that'll help your problem.
