Question:

Kids getting paid to learn?

I saw a recent news story about a town trying to pay kids with a check for getting good grades. What is this really teaching our children? That our society runs on money? That the value of knowledge can have a price tag? How will we know our children are learning because they know it will help them in the future or is it just to earn a check? What do you think?
