I happen to think abortion is wrong. However....I whack it all the time. Sperm cells die by the millions prolly. What makes me different than a person who commits and abortion.

  1. Whacking off all the time is not the same as abortion. As a male, you have an almost unlimited number of sperm cells to provide receptive woman. Spilling a few of them on the groudn makes little difference. On their own, the cannot make life.  And since the supply is basically unlimited, it makes little difference if you beat off.

Abortion is an entirely different topic that has to be decicded based on when you think that life begins. A difficult topic not easily answered in the sound bite venue of yahoo.answers.

  2. oh man...i think you should take some general anatomy and physiology classes before you ask questions like that. flip through a biology book at least to know the diffence between sperm and zygote.

  3. A newborn infant is not conscious nor does it understand it exists. Why is this the same as a real live talking person. I suspect the dividing line between it and us is a few weeks after birth. We just draw a line somewhere earlier to make it simpler.

  4. According to Evangelists, you're not. But, they're pretty heavy hypocrites, like most super-religious Christians. They preach good will toward men etc etc, but I can guarantee you if a homeless man appeared on their porch 90% would treat him less than human.

Off subject. If someone were to say that's different, it would probably go like this: Sperm cells are not actual human life, only the catalyst for it. Potential humans, yes, but not humans.

  5. Intention is what makes the difference.

Is the (conscious) intention when you whack it, to kill sperm cells? I'm guessing not. While that may be the result, there is aspect of You that knows your intent, minus the doubts.

One who commits abortion, is by definition desiring to end the existence of a being that has reached the stage of conception and is rapidly growing.

  6. it totally depend on circumstances...if foetus is threat for mothers emotional as well as physical life or fetus itself is having some life threatening disease it is not illegal to abort .

  7. ...its self gratification...

...abortion is the denial of another's life...

  8. When the sperm successfully unites with the egg, conception happens. Only after conception is there the potential for abortion.

Millions of sperm are typically lost in the one act of normal copulation and conception; most are unnecessary or unfit for conception.

  9. Is this a serious question?? There is a difference between your sperm, and a egg that has been fertilized and is growing into a baby. Things that aren't alive don't have blood, a heart beat, nor does it grow.

  10. because your sperm is not a human

  11. nope. Plus, we have enough starving mouths to feed on this planet already.
