My daughter starts kindergarden this week. She needs to have a box of kleenex. What do you think about on the bottom of the box if I tape just a printed picture of the family. Will that be there to comfort her or just distract her?

  1. I would tape it on her pencil box or in her lunch box. The tissues go into storage and are used as needed. She probably wouldn't see them. I like the idea of you sending a picture of the family with her. It would be a great comfort. You're a good mom.

  2. Don't do the picture.  The box of kleenex is for everyone to use during the school year.  Teachers spend a lot (a really lot) of money on things for their classroom.  Some of the generic supplies, like kleenex,  they let the students bring at the beginning of the year, so they will have a good supply on hand.  The teacher will put your box of kleenex in the storage closet with all the others, and take from that supply all year long.  Same thing goes for ziploc bags, etc.  But the photo is a very sweet gesture.  What a nice Mommy you are.

  3. I agree...forgo the kleenex box picture and maybe put a picture on her zipper of her backpack or in her lunch box/bag, etc.  As others have said...the tissues go in storage until needed.  :-)  That is such a good idea though :-)  A little something from home.

  4. it may do both. at times it may comfort her and other times it may distract her. and what would she do when the tissue box is thrown away?
