Question:

Kindergarten-Level Bible Verses?

I am looking for simplified versions of Bible verses for my homeschooled son. We are doing ones such as "Trust in the Lord with all your heart. Proverbs 3:5a". Is there a website that gives simplified versions of verses like this that are easy for kindergarteners to memorize?

  2. Awana has a free .pdf of a memory book for young ones, called "Bible Bees."  You can find it at:

Also, Scripture Memory Fellowship has memory books you can order for $9 (including 3 rewards) by calling their toll-free number.  For that age, the "ABC" memory book or the "I AM" memory book would be appropriate.  My children used them and loved them. They are beautifully illustrated in full-color, with clear, easy to read type.  Here's a link:

  3. I had my kids do verses to the alphabet. Abeka has a set, but we were memorizing in NKJ, so I made my own set on the computer, had them draw a picture to go with each verse, mounted them on construction paper and then took them to a copy store to have them spiral-bound. My kids looked at them for a year or two after they first learned the verses.

  4. There is an old audio resource called "Critter County". My mom had it on tape. It goes through the entire alphabet, with a verse for each letter, weaving a little story as it goes and with a creative song for each verse. The entire thing is very well done, and it is a fun way for kids from kindergarten to 4th grade to learn Bible verses in an easy to memorize format. I don't know if this is readily accessible at this point, but an online search might turn something up--even if you have to get it used and on tape, the resource is so good it would be worth the hassle even if you don't have a tape player anymore and you had to search long and hard to find a copy. I still remember almost all the songs, and I'm almost 20 now.

  5. We use My Father's World and my children memorize scriptures every week!  Great Christian curiculum.

These are just some of the pages I found with the search "childrens bible verses".  There seem to be many more.
