  1. You can read about him at the wikipedia website but what would be really fun would be to join Clan Bruce.

You can go to a Highland Games where there will be a Clan Bruce tent and the people there can tell you all about Robert the Bruce.

And you can see s**y men in kilts!   ;-)

  2. Robert de Bruce, 'the soldier king of Scotland' was born on 11 July 1274.

Through his father he was distantly related to the Scottish royal family; his mother had Gaelic antecedents.

His grandfather was one of the claimants to the Scottish throne during a succession dispute in 1290 - 1292.

The English king, Edward I, was asked to arbitrate and chose John Balliol to be king. Both Bruce and his father refused to back Balliol and supported Edward I's invasion of Scotland in 1296 to force Balliol to abdicate.

Robert the Bruce took over Guardianship of Scotland in 1298 when William Wallace forewent the title, prior to his defeat and betrayal in 1305.

  3. he wasnt heathen in the least email me for the full story i dont have enough space here

there was no need for a revival becasue a the time most people only spoke and lived like celts in scotland, there was no bull sacrifice the above comment is rubbish

  4. How could you be related to Robert the Bruce in the 1550's, he died over 200 years before that, his dynasty wasnt even on the throne of Scotland in the 1550's. Mary, Queen of Scots was the monarch at that time.

  5. well Robert de Bruce fought off the English rule from 1307 to 1314, winning  the battle of Bancockburn in 1314 with the help of the exiled Knights Templar and returned Scotland to sovereign independence.

He was a heathen King, so the Pope doubly excommunicated him; and in terror the Roman Catholic Bishops of Scotland tried to Crown Bruce King, but he put the crown on his own head as he had already been corrinated in a pagan ritual of bull sacrifice at the stone of destiny.

He encouraged a celtic revival and celtic christianity too.

    Best King yet!!
