Knee Arthroscope?!?!?

In about a week I am having my knee scoped. I'm only 13 but my doctor thinks I tore my meniscus. If you have had it done, what is the pain like after? Any bruising? And anything else I should know???

I had this done when I was 16. Turned out to be a shattered knee cap, but the procedure was the same. I just have three small scars on my knee and afterward I did not have any bruising or anything. My pain was very minimal. They sent me home with painkillers, but I just used tylenol. I was VERY scared before I had it done, but it was nothing to worry about.
