I don't know how a knee surgery would improve the aesthetic (pleasing to the eye) qualities. Unless of course you suffer from a similar condition as a poor little boy show cased on TLC over the week end. In this case no one here can answer that. That is a case by case situation that only a specialized doctor can handle.
