Know some good quotes?

Question

I am in a public speaking class and our first assignment is to use a quote (can be something that your parents say or by someone famous). We then have to give a brief description on where we got it, paraphase (say what it means) and how others can use it in their life.

So does anyone have anything good? If ya do, please put it, where you heard it, who said it (if you know who its by) and how someone else can use it in their lives. Thanks so much in advance!

the mind bends to the reality of life but sometimes it bends so much that it breaks.        i heard this on the back of the video game twisted metal black.       we try to handle things that happen to us but some times they get to complicated and can't handle them.
