Kombucha colture died?

I was sent a Kombucha colture in the post so I could brew Kombucha tea but haven't done it yet. The colture has been sealed in the delivery package for over two weeks. Will it now be really unhealthy and almost dead? Is it worth asking for another one to be sent?

It should be fine, brew it a few times and throw the tea away, it will be perfect after 3 or 4 times. Enjoy it!
