  1. I know nothing specific about life in their military, but I would guess that the life of a soldier in any army is pretty much similar.  Now as to discipline and the relationship between Officers, NCO's and enlisted soldiers?  Well the South Korean Army can be a bit harsh as well.  Discipline, or what they refer to as discipline, is tight.  It is not unknown for officers and NCO's to strike enlisted soldiers for not performing an assigned duty in the expected fashion.

  2. The ROK's (South Korean Military) have the reputation as being bad A$$ES! most of them are tae-kwon-do experts!

Their training is really tough and grueling!

  3. Well, I can imagine that the South Korean military is much like ours due to our heavy influence in the region. The north is just your typical commie army.

  4. Saying North Korea is a bit harsh is like saying Hurricane Katrina got New Orleans a bit damp.
