LG Secret & Ripping music to computer?

Question

Right i ripped a few cd's on to my computer using Windows Media Player, i then syncronised them to my LG Secret using windows media player also. They wont work on my phone though any ideas why?

Use the software that came with the phone to upload ripped music.
