been so scared of falling in love again that you pushed a guy away? what were your reasons for doing this? did you eventually let the guy in?

You've probably been hurt at some point in your life, right? It sucks. There is a decision that has to be made: do you ever want to feel that way again?

My answer is no. I pushed away everyone... friends, family, even dog after my Granny died. I kept one person. He was my everything, even at 9-years-old. When he graduated he joined the Army and left me... I couldn't forgive him. I haven't let anyone in since.

Yes, I was so scared of being hurt again that I kept giving him the run around . I thought he'd get tired and go away but he didn't give up and we are together now.  I'm so glad I listened to my heart and not my head.

Yeah, after my previous relationship ended somewhat badly, I kept my current guy at arm's length emotionally for quite a while. To his credit, he stuck around and waited me out.

for a long time i had a ten foot wall around me and never let anyone one.

but i let down my guard again , and got my heart broken again.

So the wall is up again....i know its not fair to other men, but i cant help it.

besides..it hurts enough when a guy you really like doesnt actually like you back..and is only pretending.

I wanted to be "perfect" in every way possible so that I did not have any inhibitions preventing from getting hurt or getting used.

I wanted him to come out and say how he felt. I feel like men want me to do the work these days in that sense.
