Ladies only please.... Spandex help?

Question

I am playing volleyball for my 8th grade team and we have to wear spandex. I have no interest in going commando.... (I don't want a camel toe and I don't know what I would do during my period since I don't wear tampons). Is it true that the only options then are boyshorts or g- strings seeing that I don't want a visible panty line? Which one do you suggest for a girl my age who wears pads? Will both g- strings and boy shorts hide my camel toe and will a pad be visible if I wear either of these?

People have forgotten to mention, if you do decide to try tampons, don't make your first attempt on game day.  Buy some with a plastic applicator, best for beginners.

Well I use girl boxers, it's confortable underwear that dont have obvious outlines, and they work with both pad and tampon.

Just wear something that's comfortable to you and dont worry about the rest... =]

honestly, you cant really see a pad when your playing. i mean, its down in between you rlegs where no one can see it. lol.

it gets pretty uncomfortable though.. you get wedgies a lot. lol.

and i suggest to just wear regular panties. doesnt show that bad.

besides, people would be paying more attention to how you play, not if your panty line is visible or not.

plus no one would be able to see from the bleachers, and your teammates should be paying attention to the ball, not your butt. haha.

well if your playing volleyball and you love the sport just focus on that rather than the uniforms. I played volleyball all throughout highschool and didnt wear tampons till my junior year. Pads dont really show through the spandex. And camel toes isnt really an issue As for the underwear you can wear whatever kind you want. If you have the good spandex it usually is unnoticeable and if it isnt no one minds. Wedgies happen but no one cares cause everyone on the team is having the same problem. Soon you wont be worried about the spandex and youll love wearing it. Thats all i wear now when i do sports.

hears a suggestion... when you have your period, wear spandex under shorts at like practice and things..... im pretty sure the spandex is only the mandatory uniform for games.

Not only would a pad show while you are playing volleyball, it might not be too comfortable.  I really suggest tyring tampons, even if it is only for games.  The are SO much more comfortable.  Also, you can wear a thong with them.  Hope  this helps!  :D

this is going to be my 6th year playing volleyball and every year ive had to weat spandexx. there is really not much you can do about cammel toes except buying spandex a little big.  And yes wearing a thong, or g-string prevent pantylines.  You have to find the perfect pair of boyshorts to avoid pantylines.  But if you dont wear tampons the no your pad wont show even if you wear it on your thong or g string.  it might make a tiny outline near your croch....but unless you plan on spreading your legs apart on the court you have nothing to  worry about.

  i gave this answer to someone else.go to target( iknow they have them) and buy spandex underwear. they're like boyshorts but since they're made of mostly of spandex they only have a tiny seam at the bottem but nowhere else. they dont bunch up, and they are really comfortable, there is also no panty line.b/c if they just look like part of the shorts.

its actually more hygenic to wear underwear preferably not thongs- but i know thats the way most girls wear it. but its your choice.

& i would suggest ob tampons if you've never worn any- b/c they're easy to use. & tampons are really alot better than pads for volleyball. srry but yeahhhhh. pads slip, and you dont really want to be worrying about stuff as you play.

I play volleyball too, but i'm not too self-conscious about a line from my panties. However it is embarassing to have a pad on and everyone in the world can see it. I usually wear thongs during games and when i have my period, I just wear a tampon. But in your case, you should just buy some really thin underwear and just wear a small pad during games which will be a lot less noticeable. And then after the game, just change to give yourself more protection. The alternative is learning how to wear a tampon. They are WAY more comfortable and WAY more convenient than pads. Goodluck!
