is the water of lake ontario clear? If you stood up could you see your toes?

I would have to say it would have to depend on the time of the year, how rough the water, and the make up of the bottom.

I use to go up to South Wick state park, to see your toes in the shallows would not be impossible. But when the water is churned up the sandy bottom would be disturbed and cloud the water.

Over to Sandy Island where there was more stones the water seemed clearer. Sandy Pond, jus off the lake is easily clear for a good 6 feet.
