Lakefront Lifegaurding Test?

What swimming skills do I need to have do pass? And what kind of tests will they ask you to do in a lakefront or pool lifegaurding test?

I guess:

You just have to basically know how to swim.

Know how to save people, the basic drills, like pumping water out, know what to do when you see someone drowning, be able to save them. yeah. That's all I know, or rather can think of.
