http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Frank-Lampard-c14097 has gone on to hint that he could move to the MLS in the future, should the Blues refuse to renew his contract.
The thirty four year olds future at the club has been in doubt, considering the fact that the team is looking to bring in younger players and build for the future.
Lampard’s current contract with the club is set to run out in the near future and it is still no confirmed if he is going to be asked to extend his stay with the team.
The midfielder has been a very vital part of Chelsea’s rise to success, but as was the case with http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Didier-Drogba-c11044, it seems like his age has gotten the best of him and it might be better for him to end up leaving the team.
Having been linked with a move to the MLS, the midfielder went on to admit that for the time being there were no certain plans about his future and that his future would unravel itself as time went by.
"I am not sure [about a future in MLS]," Lampard said. "I have another year on my contract at Chelsea and we have a big season ahead of us with the Super Cup and the Club World Cup in December. It's up to Chelsea to speak with me about my future and at that
time, I'll speak with them.
"I wouldn't rule anything out at the moment."
The midfielder was linked with a move to LA Galaxy in the past, but as it stands the New York Red Bulls are also believed to be amongst the favourites to end up landing the player.
Given his age, it is highly unlikely for any major European team to make a move for him and this leads us to believe that a move to the MLS is the only option that Lampard now has left.
Nonetheless, the England international is set to play out the coming season as a Chelsea player, but once that comes to an end, his next move will come into light.
