  1. If its a phone system then yes, but if its just a phone set settle in with 6v or 9v.


  2. slightly less then that for off hook operation...

    on hook voltage is around 48VDC

    ringing voltage is around 90VAC

  3. Depends on the telephone manufacturer.

    I believe telephone power adapters"typically" range between 6 to 12v.

    My Panasonic cordless phones operate on 9vdc input.
