Landphones & new phone lines ..help?

i live in indiana & my phone number starts with 317423.

its a land phone & im not sure what company its with [sorry].

my mama recently added a line on thursday . does anyone know how long it`ll take for it to be connected?

317-423 shows as being a number in Indianapolis provided by Ameritech of Indiana.

The phone company should have given a 'service by date' when the line was ordered.  Not knowing who your phone company is, I would give it a week.  It takes about 3-4 days for a service order to flow through the system.  It could take longer if there is special work needed to provide you a phone line, no cable pairs or no available equipment at a remote terminal, etc.
