Lapptop touch pad not responsive

Question

When I use my toshiba laptop I cannot get my cursor to move with the touchpad. Even with the mouse, it is not always responding. I have a college paper due today for summer school. Please help -

I as well can not get any response from myToshiba Laptop touch pad. i get plug in a wireless mouse that works fine.... but no part of touchpad responds. Is it a setting? or an issue that I should be sending to Toshiba to fix.Still under my 1 year warrenty as of 11/25/08.
