Laptop + Tub = Dying?

Question

What would happened to me if I was using the laptop (on batteries) in the tub and it fell in?

I once dropped a battery powered radio/cassette player into the water while it was on.  It stopped working, but to  my surprise it worked fine after it was dry.  Now a laptop... Idk

The risk of electric shock is quite low, especially a fatal one.  The risk of injury from the battery overheating is higher.  But the cost to repair or replace the laptop is quite high, especially if you lose your data and don't have a current backup.  Just spilling a cup of water on the keyboard is often enough to do serious damage.

umm idk maybe u should trow it in the water and see what happens no not really well u could but ye that would probaly hurt it poor laptop

Probably nothing.  The charge in a laptop battery isn't enough to kill you.
