Laptop is not Charging?

Question

I have a dell laptop ( and I am not sure of the model number or anything....) All of my laptop chargers have stopped working a while ago so I started to use my sister's - which is the same... and now the battery on goes up to 53% and doesn't charge any further.. Is it time for a new battery or does it need to be cleaned?

Go back to where you got it from tell them the problem and they should give you a number ring it up and you should be able to arrange for it to be picked up and they will check it out and send it back with a new charger.

I had this problem with my charger and so have a few other members of my family.

I had the same/simular problem!

There might be a short in the wire.

i had to buy an entire new charger though.

But now my laptop doesnt even turn on unless it's charging.

sounds like the power adapter you are using does not have the proper amperage to charge you laptop
