Laptop won't turn on :S?

Question

I have an acer laptop -- no idea what type though :] & the light is on the power pack but the laptop won't turn on. Any suggestions :]

When the light is lit on the charger, then the light bulb symbol and / or the battery symbol should be lit on the laptop. If not, the chances are that the charging socket on the laptop is damaged.

Common problem, simple to fix
