Question:

Last week of regular season games?

Did Montreal and Sask play all their regulars for the entire game vs Winnipeg and Toronto respectively? The reason I ask is that the Al's and the 'Rider's were both playing for nothing, while their opponents were playing for home field and a first round bye. Integrity-wise, I think they owe it to the other teams to play hard, but I can understand why they'd rest their regulars (if that's indeed what they did).

  1. It is like "spring training".

Your last chance to get ready for the REAL season, the "sudden death" play-offs!

Often the last week of the regular season does not matter.

  2. YAY

  3. Neither team played all their starters, I know the Riders played a few of the guys for the 1st half or so, and the Al's did about the same.

It was of course to save from injuries etc. Especially in Sask ( I am a die hard Rider fan) they are/were still a little banged up and didn't want to risk further injuries.

I guess overall that is really the thing to do as they had won enough games during the regular season to put them in the position to be able to do that!

Edit hey Puck see in the Cup! (If they can get past BC) Go Riders!

  4. Why risk a guy you need for a playoff game if the game you are playing means nothing?  Not smart football.  Especially since in football, every playoff game is put up or go home.  Besides Als are hurting anyways.  As for the Riders, Argos were the better team.
