The Danish football legend had earlier revealed on Monday that he was on the brink of landing a couple of new players at Swansea, and claimed that the completion of one deal was just around the corner.
According to some reports, the Welsh club have kept the likes of Obertan, Pablo Hernandez and Didier Ya Konan on their target list, as Laudrup looks to bolster his squad ahead of the next season.
However, on the subject of the Magpies winger’s rumoured admission to the Swans unit, the 48-year old insisted that he was not willing to comment on any unsubstantiated reports and facts related to the club’s summer targets, and mentioned that he can only
talk about the current set of players that he has at his disposal.
He told the reporters in an interview, “I can only say this. Speculation about players coming in, I don't want to comment on that. It is better for me to say I don't comment on rumours, I can comment on things about our players as it is different.”
The manager’s remarks came, following his side’s emphatic 4-2 win against Blackpool in a pre-season friendly fixture at the Liberty Stadium.
