Okay, here's a nice technique that doesn't require a calculator

draw a factor tree for the 3 numbers

EX: 9=3x3, 15=3x5, 12=3x4  

Next find common factor(s)

Ex: 3

Then multiply the common factor with other factors left over

3x3x5x4

9x20

180

And there's your answer! Much faster than multiplying until you find the LCM
