How much is it to fix a leaking valve cover gasket?

it depends on the vehicle because some cars have more parts to take off to get to them than others. the gasket is generally the cheap part 20-30 dollars but the labor is killer. I had a 1991 Mercury grand maquis and it cost me 240.00 to get them done with the parts.

the gasket has to be replaced at the very least. Hopefully someone did not tighten the cover in an effort to stop the leak--it tends to distort the cover .

Usually about a 2 hour job.
