doing research for my (soon to be 4 year old). does the leapster 2 accomidate the original leapster cartridges? I like that I can go online and see his progress and keep Grandma updated. I hear it is better than a v-smile.. do you agree?

  1. if you're talking about the Leapster L-max then yes! it does accomidate the original leapster cartridges.

i think it's a very good idea. a couple children in my preschool class have the l-max and love it! my daughter, who is now 7, has had a leapster (the older one) for almost 2 years and still plays it. so it would be something that your soon to be 4 year old could get years of enjoyment out of! there are games to fit a variety of interests and learning levels.

from what i understand, the v-smile is good for very young children, but it loses it's appeal to kids ages 5+. so i think it's a good idea to buy a leapster rather than a v-smile.

but that's just my opinion! my boyfriend has a v-smile for his 4 year old, but she's not too interested in it, so i haven't seen it in action.

so yes! i agree with you.
