Some states have "free" online schools.

There are also tons of free resources online you can use. A good search engine like google is your best bud!

Your library website may well link to many free online educational resources as well. Mine does. You can do prep testing, learn languages and more.

Possibly...if I knew where in the world you were and what it is you want to study!

(After all, a free maths website isn't going to be much use if you want to learn history!!)

There are lots of free websites.  You just pay for your internet access.

  You will probably need to pay if you need somebody to tell you what to learn and when to learn it.  There are plenty of those programs  online.

  A few  states have combined distance learning programs into their public school and they are available for students.   If the program is paid for by tax money and is governed by the public schools system, I don't think it is homeschool.  It is public school done at home.

i dont think there is any online homeschooling that is free. sorry. but i think penn foster ( which is who i am going through) is the cheapest and easiest way to do it..

Hey I don't know about websites but abeka has DVD'S it's a prerecorded program.   just got to abeka .com.

You would not believe how many times I have shared these sites with people in the last couple of days, on Yahoo alone! :D

Check out Old Fashioned Education. It's actually free! If you wanted to print stuff off, you can, so that's a minor cost, but aside from that, FREE. Not kidding. My daughter is going to be using part of it this year, and most of it the next. :)

Ambleside Online is another great curriculum source, but SOME of their stuff you would have to look for "off-line," but the books they recommend are reasonable in price when you can find them.

There is a Yahoo group called 3RHomeschooling that is about Old Fashioned Education (and other classical education sources), and they LOVE sharing their free finds from the internet!
