Lee J, the racist?

I would like to ask the other South Africans what they think of Lee J's comments. I notice it fails to mention the Khoi and Bushmen people who the Bantu systematicall drove out of the land they invaded. I would also like to ask Lee what he means by "made SA what it is today".... despite problems the only African country south of the sahara with a modern infrastructure and the highest quality of life and GDP. I dislike black racists as much as white ones.

black South Africans do have a right to be angry about apartheid. at the same time the new government has let the black people down by not giving them the land and other stuff they promised and they are letting their anger out on other people, hence the xenophobic attacks and racist attacks on whites.

It is not black people who are part of the high quality of life.

I am not south african and i can guarantee you the black south africans live in worse conditions than zimbabweans and other neighbouring countries.

The British raped and tortured Boers during the Anglo Boer war. Then they came back and forced sanctions and eventually this democracy. We had already voted in a referendum to change and it should have been done slowly with proper planning where the rule of law remained enforced. Instead we have a country at war with a bunch of rascists in charge all over again. I used to tell the British not to visit SA but I am going to encourage them now so more and more of them can experience SA as it is. LeeJ and his chommie are idiots and get their knowledge from leathal weapon. I know from first hand experience how rascist blacks are and how rascist the English are.

What racists don't realize, is that when they lash out like that in such a preposterous manner - the result always backfires on them.  I would guess that in the dark, stale recesses of their brains, the idea is that in spouting their rubbish, they hope to propagate their foolish notions and erroneous philosophies. However, in all cases, it magnifies their ignorance and instead reinforces to the rest of us of how ridiculous, absurd, completely unreasonable and totally unacceptable racism is, whether black or white.

Racism is racism regardless of the colour of the racist. I wonder if LeeJ is a youngster or an old dude? Youngsters can sometimes be turned around and are therefore worth talking to; I know there are exceptions to the rule but old people are harder to work with - their off center thoughts have deeper roots.

I know I will get a ton of thumbs down on this one but I really think you get more flies with honey than with vinegar and I would be tempted to just keep at him with polite corrections rather than with verbal abuse and barring him from controversies in here. Continued and sound reasoning does often work wonders. It is to be remembered that other (foreign to Africa and specifically South Africa) uninformed people do come to this forum so it is also an opportunity to gently educate them too. I sometimes wonder if the bitter white people in this forum do not see the parallels between the people they hate and themselves. Perhaps one has to be an outsider to see that.

Edit for LeeJ  The fact of whether apartheid was good or bad will be argued for years to come but the fact is that what has happened, has happened and cannot be changed. What IS now is what is important and being a part of the whining majority who like to badmouth the past but do nothing to make things good in the present is being a part of the problem and not a part of the solution. Being part of the solution is a much better position to be in in any situation and I do not understand why you seem to want to feed hate. What does it accomplish and/prove?

Bye the way, Many slaves in the U.S. got here because they were sold by their tribes to the white slave dealers so I think that problem had more than one villain and the villains of the time came in both colours.

Blacks, in SA, enjoyed THE HIGHEST STANDARDS of living in any country sub-Saharan during the good old apartheid years, leading up to 1994, it is only after the corrupt ANC took over that SA went down the toilet.

Your statements are based on ignorence and misinformation, like so many foreigners, you do not have to, neccessarily, know anything about SA to comment with authority.

I was deeply shocked when I read his answer. It is disturbing and infuriating that people who know nothing of SA and it's ways can come onto this forum and make comments like that.
