  1. Above the heart.  Of you elevate the leg, it helps your circulation return and it helps reduce the amount of swelling that putting your leg down below your heart level makes happen.

  2. in order to recieve any benifits from elevation u need to elevate the injured area above ur heart

  3. Above the heart. On a pillow in bed. Thats what my orthopedic surgeon told me when I broke my leg after surgery.

  4. Above your heart, it aids circulation.

    Good Luck.X :-)

  5. I worked for a physical therapist through college.

Generally when our doctor told our patients tells to keep their leg elevated he meant above their heart. So if you are sitting down you would want to keep it just above the level of your rib cage. If you are off by a few inches it really doesn't make much of a difference.

  6. above the heart usually

  7. above the heart.
