Leleupi and daffodil aka pulcher cichlid?

Question

can I do:

5-6 leleupi and 4-5 daffodil (look like brichardi)

in a 40 gallon tank with a lot of rock?

not enough room there would be way to much territorial fighting. since they both like to swim in and out of rocks. double that tank size and you will be fine for awhile. until the fish start to pair off they will need there own space.
