Letter To London?

OK i want to send a letter to London live in new york is it any different to send a plain letter to London then it is to Manhattan

According to the United States Postal Service web site, a rectangular envelope weighing one ounce or less can be mailed to the UK for 94 cents.  I found this surprising since I usually just slap two 42 cent staps on there (totalling 84 cents) and have no problem getting my letter to it's intended UK recipient.  It's up to you if you want to risk my strategy and save 10 cents and a trip to buy new stamps.  Maybe my post office is just out of the loop.

A regular 1 ounce letter will need 94 cents postage for international
