Letter of recommendation?

I'm giving a prospective employer 2 letters of recommendation, one from my mother in law, the other from my present boss.

Is it acceptable to have a recommendation letter written by my mother in law from a personal point of view? Should I have someone else write one?

No. Either have from your current job, previous jobs, college or school or a civic organization. Dont bother with a relative letter.
