Letters out of canada?

Im sending a letter from Canada to swizterland and it has a bracellet inside. Do I have to go to the postoffice to get one of those decloration things to say whats inside?

Also, how many stamps should I put on, up untill now Ive been planning to stick on as many stamps as I can get my hands on and hopes that enough.

thanks for any help! ooo, and any ideas when my letter should get there?

  1. Yes you will need to declare what is inside the envelope.  Best bet is to put it in a padded envelope.

    It will probably take about 2-3 weeks by regular post but you can pay more if you want to get it there more quickly.

    Go to the post office and they will weigh the package and charge you the exact postage.  It shouldn't be too much by regular mail - probably less than $10 depending on how heavy it is.
