Leveling a Priest: WoW?

Question

i have started a priest and before i level it i was wondering this; alot of people say priests should spec holy for dungeons (which is what i wanna do from level 1-70) but, i want to level fast, and do PvP along the way.. should i respec shadow and then holy? << will it waise my money??!!! HELP

You can level well with a Wand with Holy but not as efficient as Shadow. If you want to level fast and pvp then go shadow until you hit 50-70. You could also spec holy and do mostly instance runs and some heal pvp. Both are viable, just choose which one you enjoy more.

as a priest you can very easily stay shadow until level 60 and still be able to heal any instances you come across in the meantime.

No, definitely spec shadow while leveling.  A shadow priest can heal just as effectively as a holy priest for the first 55 levels; the level 60 dungeons are better handled by a holy priest, but no one does them anymore and just go right on to Outland.  Since that&#039;s the case, stay holy until you&#039;re running end game dungeons or are done leveling and PVPing.

It costs money every time you respec, up to 50g.  Starting cost is 1g or 10g (it&#039;s been a while since I did it, sorry I can&#039;t be more specific).

If you wanna PVP and level quickly, Shadow is one good way to go, as the damage is decent, and while your heals won&#039;t rock, the +int/+spell damage gear you would use would work to heal atleast in the 40 and below dungeons.

I am currently leveling a holy priest, and it is fun, especially since the high speed heals mean death is rare outside the bgs, and when I post &quot;Holy Priest LFg&quot; I usually find a group in a few minutes. However, as you get into the higher level areas, you will find it is harder to solo a holy than a shadow, and in the BG&#039;s you are pretty much relegated to healing

My recommendation would be to level as shadow, then switch to holy later on, for the high level dungeons and raids

Yes technically you are right, If you want to level a preist easily you have to go shadow for good grinding, and a good portion of holy if you are doing the lower level dungeons.

But If you are constant dungeon man, go all holy, dungeons 1 - 70?

You save money on a few spells and you are still considered good for the day.
