Liability insurance for bodywork professionals?

I need liability for my massage work.There are several I looked up on line.Which ones are best.Which one do you have?How much do you pay, for how much coverage and is there a deductable?Thanks

I would recommend you talk to a local independent insurance agent about securing this coverage for your business.  They can probably get you several quotes but the benefit of using an agent is their ability to explain the coverages you are buying and answering any questions you might have.  As far as price it will depend on your exposures and the company that ends up quoting it.  Liability is sometimes quoted with a 'per claim' or 'per occurrence' deductible.  Good Luck!


  2. It doesn't matter - you can't buy it directly, and not all companies will write in all states.

    In order to get professional liability, you'll need general liability in place.  I'd guestimate with one table and one masseusse, you'll be paying about $2,000 a year, combined.  

    But you have to go through a local, independent agent in order to get this.
