Ok, well, i got hired there today, paid for the temp license and fingerprinting... should i stick with the job and see how it goes or keep looking and just forget about it? Ive put in my 2 weeks @ my old job (for the 2nd time, she wont take me back) Ive heard nothing but horror stories about selling insurance.. Life and health to be more exact... What do you think? Should i just count it as a lesson well learned (and not to spend 120 on fingerprints and a temp...)

  1. Why would you accept a job, pay the costs of getting hired and then decide not to at least give it a try.  Life insurance is a great business to be in and many people are very successful.  Whether or not you will be one of them is totally dependent on you.  If you don't think you can sell, why did you accept the job in the first place.  It is not a career for everyone and it can be very frustrating, but I have been in it over 30 years and it has been good to me.  Liberty National is a good company and will give you a chance but you must do your part.  Once you get your permanent license, you may want to become an independent agent or look for another company, but I say, at least give it a shot. Positive outlook always helps.
